My Karma
What is the karma system?
At Bookspy, we believe that if you do good, you get it back in turn. Instead of focusing on trading books, we focus on sending gifts (although you can still work out a trade if you want). After all, can you think of a better feeling than getting a random gift out of the blue? If you feel this way, then please participate and spread some book happiness!
How does the karma system work?
As you use Bookspy, you can add books to a 'wishlist'. If you have books on your wishlist, other users will be able to see that when they search. This gives them the opportunity to earn karma by sending it to you!

You will see a notification when searching for books:
On your bookshelf, if other users or friends want the book:

How do I send a book?
Anywhere you see 'get karma' or 'send book', just click it, and you will be prompted to confirm that you want to send it. Do not do this lightly however! If you do not send the book, you can risk losing your karma! Once the person receives your book, and marks the book as received, you will be awarded karma. If the user does not mark it as received, we will try to get in touch with them to remind them. If it appears that they still do not answer, and you have entered a tracking number, you will be awarded the karma by default.
